The Bridal Suite
The Bridal Suite is a room we have here onsite at Rufford Mill where you can prepare (both physically and mentally) to say “I do” in front of all your family and friends on your big day!
The Bridal Suite is where the bride gets to relax (as much as one can), get her hair and makeup done, and toast to the day’s events ahead of her with her bridal party before walking down the aisle.
It’s the ultimate wedding pre-game event, filled with music, laughter, and maybe even a few happy tears.
Our Bridal Suite at the Mill is split over two rooms: The Lounge Area and The Dressing Room. Aswell as having it’s own bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet and basin.
We have delicately designed the layout so everyone has a space to prepare for the big day ahead whether you are lounging on the sofa settling your nerves with a strong cup of tea or making final tweaks to your hair in our dressing room under the hollywood lights.
Make sure you allow time for a few precious moments with your loved ones once your wedding preparations are complete before tying the knot.
Perhaps if your Dad is giving you away, no doubt he’ll love a private moment with his little girl in The Dressing Room before the ceremony. (Don’t worry, we’ll have tissues at the ready!)
If the Bridal Suite is not included in your wedding package, the Bridal suite is available at an additional cost so you can be pampered in luxury and just a small walk away from the venue itself.
Please speak to us directly if you would like to book as an add on for your big day! The only package not inclusive of the Bridal Suite is our Pearl.
Floor Length Mirror
A floor-length mirror is essential and aids as your quality control checker as you are getting dressed.
You want to be able to get a good look at yourself in your bridal gown from front to back and head to toe before making your big debut.
Hangers and Hooks
Once you get to your bridal suite, your first order of business should be hanging your dress in an open area.
The Bridal suites dressing room is the perfect place for this with tall hooks that allows your wedding dress and Bridesmaids dresses to hang freely without touching the floor.
Light Snacks and Beverages
It’s going to be a long day leading up to the reception, so to keep you and your wedding party fuelled we will provide you with a continental breakfast buffet consisting of tea and coffee making facilities, pastries, granola bars and fresh fruit to enjoy in the relaxing Bridal Lounge and will ensure that everyone eats something before the ceremony. And of course, plenty of water, as it’s so important to stay hydrated on your wedding day.
Bring Your Robe!
You’ll want to wait until the very last minute before you walk down the aisle to put on your wedding dress if you want to avoid any stains, spills, or rips.
It’s a good idea for you and your bridal party to get ready in dressing robes so you can snack and get styled without worrying about staining your dresses.
Make sure to get a robe that ties or zips in the front. Anything you have to pull your head runs the risk of messing up your hair and makeup.
Emergency Kit
We understand there are so many jobs to be done in the run up to your wedding day, that it’s easy to forget about the little things you need on the morning of your wedding. Unfortunately wardrobe malfunctions, makeup disasters, headaches and blisters do happen so we have compiled a little emergency kit within our Bridal Suite for you to use if the worse was to happen. That way if you lose a button or your shoes give you a blister you can relax in the knowledge we have everything sorted.
The Emergency Kit will include all little bits like; hair spray, hairpins, a sewing kit, safety pins, baby wipes, deodorant, tweezers, a lint roller, first-aid essentials and mints for that first kiss as husband and wife.
